Press Release: You don’t have to wear skinny jeans.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

High-waisted, wide-leg – You don’t have to wear skinny jeans.
La Rousse stays one step ahead with new denim options this spring.

January 25, 2007 (SEATTLE, WA) - - Although the skinny jean looks great on many different body types, the reality is that not everyone wants to wear it. At La Rousse this spring, this Belltown boutique is staying one step ahead of the fashion trends by offering many wide-leg trouser options; some are high-waisted.

Trend Setter - Karen Walker
New Zealand designer extraordinaire, Karen Walker, has long been the pioneer of high-waisted, wide-leg pants offered in a foray of different fabrics from hardy canvas to soft linen. Her signature Amelia pant has been a staple at La Rousse and returns in the spring in lightweight, navy cotton - $285.

LA Denim Champs – Tag +
Tag Jeans launches wide-leg trousers as well as higher-waisted styles with a 9 inch rise this spring. Butt cracks be gone at last! La Rousse will carry the wide-leg trouser with the higher rise. With a perfectly faded wash and small front pockets, the Tag jeans have more of a vintage feel - $195.

Eco-Friendly – Del Forte
A new organic denim line hits Seattle this spring that has so many great things going for it. Not only do they use chemical-free, organic cotton and promote fair business practices, but they also donate part of the profits to organizations that help agricultural communities. The fit is amazing too! In addition to bootcut and skinny leg styles, La Rousse will carry a wide leg trouser in white - $195.

Great value, great style – Ben Sherman
Ben Sherman, the purveyor of mod from the UK, has designed a truly great pant to go along with vintage-inspired button-downs in geometric prints and striped tank tunics. The wide-leg Dawn pant sits a bit lower on the hips (yet not too low!) and comes in a deep, clean navy denim that can easily be dressed up and worn to the office. La Rousse customers will love the price too - $98.
